My smallest enemy, is the hardest to avoid! Our yard is quite popular with the local birds. We have a few nests located around the property. One of the nests is located just outside our sliding door onto our deck. It's nestled in a DRIFTWOOD framed chalkboard. The chalkboard is old and ugly but I didn't have the heart to throw it away when I noticed a nest being built on the top of it. As you see in the pic the little ones have been born. Up until now it hasn't been a problem. The momma would keep her eggs warm and would just fly away when we walked by. During my adventure with my new camera I thought I would take a few photos of the babies., getting super close to the nest!! Well momma didn't like it! And!! She remembers me! Every time I walk out the sliding door now the momma and dad swoop down at me. I've been running for my life!!! My husband and dog haven't had a problem yet! Im pretty sure I'll have a follow up story on this that could be pretty funny. Maybe the title will be: "BIRD GETS TANGLED IN WOMANS HAIR"!!
